We were created to contribute to meaningful change, not to build a self-perpetuating institution, which too often becomes the case.
We see ending well as an act of courage and renewal, allowing new voices and leadership to emerge.
We step aside with gratitude for everyone who joined us on this 40-year journey, staff, donors, volunteers, and partners.
We hope the next generation of leaders will act with thoughtfulness, respect for others, and a commitment to positive action.
We need to reinstill in our society a sense of responsibility for each other, other species, and future generations,
while conducting ourselves with integrity, humility, and respect.
